Row Robin Fun

I'm back! I have had more fun reading other blogs than writing on my own.
So what else have I been doing? During the past year or so, I have participated in a row robin. Out of the quilting group that I belonged to, we made a list of those who would participate. We each bought the material for our own quilt and selected a block to make. Then we each made a row from our material. Then the fun really began! We passed to the next on the list. I got her material and then made a row (my pattern, her material). We kept passing until I finally got my material back with a bunch of different rows. Mine will be easy for you to identify. Here are some of the row's that I completed:

Did you figure out the pattern I used? More later. Until then, "Hugs" to you!

Lucky Me!

At the January Quilt Guild Meeting I won the Block Lotto! Our "Block Lotto Lady" picks a block for members to make and from the entries a name is picked and the winner gets them all. I ended up with 15 blocks. I have some additional small star blocks that were extra from another quilt that I am thinking about putting with my winnings to make a larger quilt. My favorite color is blue so this was a neat "hug" for me. It is now on my official WIP list. The question is "how long will it stay on that list"? I have a list that seems to be growing. How about you? How long is your list? Do you have any tips to get projects completed? Or is there anything wrong with having a good sized list, (ha, ha)? Hugs to you!

A Christmas Season Quilt!

My most recent quilting has been working on a row robin from a quilting group I belong to. I don’t want to show it yet, but hopefully when we are done, I will be able to show all of the rows that I completed, and hopefully some of the quilts that were made.

So, my Christmas Season Quilt becomes the topic. This quilt started with a focus fabric that wasn’t. You may not be able to tell, but the small square in the middle of the log cabin block was to be the focus fabric. But as the quilt blocks began to take shape, it just wasn’t working, so no more of that fabric is in the quilt. Another learning lesson in my developing quilting skills! A Very Merry Christmas Hug to All.

Hugs To Quilters Everywhere! What can be cozier than a quilt that wraps you in warmth and love? What can be more special than a heirloom quilt made by someone that loves you? Who would ever have guessed that a quilt could be art? Quilts are wonderful and with such wide applications, who knows where we will find ourselves as we explore a little bit of everything related to quilts.

But first things first. Here's a quilt I made for my cousin's baby, although the little guy was crawling by the time I got it done! Anybody been there?
